I love thinking I want to listen to Dropkick Murphys. Melodic punk with heavy celt vibes with pristine recordings? Let's go I'm all in. And I turn it on, and I say hell yea, the vibes are good. But do I actually care when I'm listening? It feels like I'm not really listening. I'm just acknowledging. Maybe today just wasn't the day to listen, but I don't usually have them on my playlist anyway. Also, what's the idea here? How many of these songs are jokes? Like, Wicked Sensitve Crew is funny. Citizen CIA is pretty silly. But is I'm Shipping Up To Boston written in earnest? or the rest of 'em? I'm not actually sure.
