I’ve got a soft spot for chiptune, so my ears perked up pretty quickly when I was told this was “emo chiptune”. Interesting to me that a couple of the early songs are “strictly” chiptune, while others incorporate guitar and live drums. I don’t know how I feel about the two styles of song mixed together. Mostly because I want the songs with other instruments to have a fuller sound than they do, but I feel like that would make the songs without feel lackluster comparatively. Either way, I was really hoping for the some vocals! Still cool without.
